The Alberta Geomatics Group (AGG) promotes Geomatic innovations and opportunities for a wide range of disciplines in all sectors including industry, government and educational institutions.


GeoEdmonton is a clearinghouse of spatial data for the City of Edmonton. This shared data resource reduces cost, facilitates use and supports local businesses and activities. GeoEdmonton integrates spatial data with our permits, licenses, assessment, drainage, emergency dispatch, emergency operations planning, and asset inventory, building inspections, assessments, street light inventory and sidewalk condition assessment.

Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) – Alberta Chapter

URISA Alberta is a provincial chapter of URISA International, one of the longest-running Information Systems organizations in the world. URISA Alberta members represent many areas within the ever-expanding Information Systems (IS) field. Members represent provincial and municipal governments, the private sector (large and small businesses) and academia.
